It has been a long way since I decided to further my studies in Singapore.
I thought it was time to move on, the reason why I left my beloved Vajiravudh College.
In retrospect, the decision has indeed left me both delighted and regretful at the same time.
I was delighted because I thought by moving out of my comfort zone, I would be able to explore the world.

On the other hand, I regretted leaving and was filled with nostalgia whenever I thought of days I spent in VC…
Days which I spent in VC were rather mundane yet memorable…it’s interesting thinking about how I used to live my life in VC. I have to admit I miss that a lot…
Although I hope I could go back to the past and change many things, I have realised that I could never do that. It’s just wishful thinking on my part…
After all, everyone has to move on, be it for the better or the worse.
Singapore is a dream come true if one ‘loves’ to study. At the same time, Singapore is a nightmare to one who thinks he/she can fool around in a foreign country.
Of course, one will be given more freedom if he/she studies overseas but freedom in Singapore does not come alone, unfortunately.
With freedom, comes great responsibility.(Just like any superhero,huh?)
I find studying in Singapore a great responsibility when I first stepped on this small island for the fear of letting my parents down or so I think…
Many people whom I meet repeatedly tell me I’m lucky to have the chance to study in Singapore, something which they do not have.
I don’t agree totally. I sometimes feel nothing beats being with your own family. Somehow, I just yearn for home comfort, at least for a slightly longer period of time of what I have been getting.
Maybe Singapore is where I gain knowledge and life experiences, whereas Thailand is where I belong. Cheers!!!

For those interested in studying in Singapore, here’s some useful information.
Studying in Singapore is never easy and is getting more and more difficult. Of that, I’m sure.
As a result, be mentally prepared to put in great deal of efforts.
Also, ‘get rid of yourself’ and be adaptable as soon as possible for you’re going to experience a totally different cultural country. There’re mainly three races in Singapore, namely Chinese, Malay and Indian.
Moreover, remember to consult with your parents whether to take up Chinese as Singapore offers a second language for all its students. If you do want to study Chinese, prepare yourself as early as possible for it’s going to be tough trying to juggle many different subjects and Chinese simultaneously. Otherwise, be prepared to grapple with intensive studies. Subjects include Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Additional Mathematics, English, Chinese and Social Studies, Geography and History, etc.
Last but not least, having the right attitude is extremely important or you will end up wasting a lot of money as well as time.
